The Cost of Attendance reflects average expenses incurred by a student to attend medical school for one year. It is adjusted annually based
on student surveys and the consumer price index (CPI). It does not include expenses for individuals other then the student (with the exception
of daycare costs), or expenses incurred during periods of non-enrollment.
Other necessary expenses such as daycare costs, health insurance premiums, emergency car repairs, medical/dental bills not covered by
insurance, and the purchase of a computer may be included in the Cost of Attendance, if incurred during the academic year. Students may
request consideration for a Cost of Attendance increase by submitting a Request for Re-evaluation form and supporting documentation to the
Medical School Student Financial Aid Office.
The total amount of a students financial aid award cannot exceed the Cost of Attendance.
