Steve Westereng, MS, ATC, CSCS

Assistant Professor and Director

The Director of Sports Medicine.
Currently teaching FMed 213 and FMed 312.
Primary sport responsibility is football.

Jim Rudd, MS, ATC

Assistant Professor

Head Athletic Trainer. Mr. Rudd has over 30 years of sports medicine and athletic training experience at the collegiate and professional levels. Currently teaching FMed 343, FMed 497, and FMed 481.

Makoto Tsuchiya, MS, ATC

Assistant Professor / Coordinator, Educational Technology

Teaches Fmed Anatomy for Athletic Trainers, FMed 211, and FMed 491 for athletic training students. Works within the Department of Family Medicine on technology projects and teaches throughout the UND School of Medicine.

Cathy Ziegler, PT/ATC

Instructor / Clinic Coordinator / Assistant Athletic Trainer

The Coordinator of the Center for Sports Medicine. The Center for Sports Medicine is a sports physical therapy clinic affiliated with the Division of Sports Medicine. Currently teaches FMed 321, 321L, FMed 411, and FMed 413.

Robin  Tracy, PT/ATC, DPT, CSCS

Instructor / Physical Therapist / Assistant Athletic Trainer

Serves as a physical therapist in the UND Center for Sports Medicine. Currently teaching FMed 320, FMed 320L, FMed 411, and FMed 413.

Mark Poolman, MS, ATC

Instructor / Assistant Athletic Trainer

Currently teaching FMed 101 and FMed 313.  Serves as Advisor for Pre-Athletic Training Students.
Primary sport responsibility is men’s hockey.

McKynsay Vanderpan, MS, ATC

Instructor/Assistant Athletic Trainer

Currently teaching FMed 200 and FMed 211. Primary sport responsibility is women’s hockey.

Erika Hunt, MS, ATC

Instructor/Assistant Athletic Trainer

Currently teaching FMed 481 and FMed 343. Primary sports responsibility is women’s basketball

Audrey Rambough, MS, ATC

Instructor/Assistant Athletic Trainer

Oversees the Hyslop Athletic Training facility. Currently teaching FMed 208 and FMed 208L
Primary sports responsibility is track and swimming.

John Flatt, MS, ATC

Instructor/Assistant Athletic Trainer

Currently teaching FMed 207 and FMed 207L. Current primary sports responsibility is women’s soccer and baseball.

Eric Sand, MS, ATC

Instructor/Assistant Athletic Trainer

Currently teaching FMed 208 and FMed 208L. Primary Sport Responsibility is men’s basketball.
