UND Internal Medicine utilizes MeritCare Health System and the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, both located in Fargo, N.D., for its training sites.

MeritCare Health System

MeritCare is the most comprehensive and largest health care system between Minneapolis and Seattle and the 13th largest integrated medical group practice in the country. It is a fully integrated organization comprised of a 330-physician medical group, a 380-bed tertiary-care hospital, a regional network of 25 primary care clinics, and an overall reputation that is noteworthy for its excellence in cancer care, heart services, neuroscience and rehabilitation services. Veterans Affairs Medical Center

The VA Hospital, located in north Fargo, is a 132-bed medical and regional office center that provides comprehensive primary and secondary care in medicine, surgery, and psychiatry. The clinical addition offers expanded clinical functions in ambulatory care, and a 50-bed skilled Transitional Care Unit provides rehabilitative and extended care to eligible veterans.
