Elective Options

The PGY-4 year is devoted almost entirely to electives with the only requirement being to maintain 4 hrs/wk of outpatient psychiatry, and 4 hours of geriatric psychiatry clinic. Elective opportunities, especially for research, are available in the third year, which results in the move of some required outpatient time to the fourth year. We provide the opportunity to develop rotations in your areas of interest, including:

  • An Academic/Research/Teaching Psychiatry Track
  • A Private Psychiatry Track
  • A Public/Rural Psychiatry Track
  • An Administrative Psychiatry Emphasis
  • In-state and out-of-state electives are possible
