* Once the UND Research Development & Compliance Office has signed your proposal, they will call the contact name on your UNDSMHS Proposal Routing Form, so that your fully signed proposal can be picked up and submitted.
Grants.gov Electronic Proposals
If you are submitting a grant proposal using the Grants.gov website, after the UND Research Development & Compliance Office has signed your proposal they will submit the proposal electronically as well. After successful submission of your proposal, they will call the contact name on your UNDSMHS Proposal Routing Form, so that the hard copy of your fully signed and submitted proposal can be picked up for your records.
Within 48 hours the Principal Investigator shown on the Grants.gov proposal will receive an e-mail confirmation from Grants.gov. This confirmation will notify you that your proposal has either been submitted successfully or unsuccessfully. If it has been submitted unsuccessfully, please contact Corey Graves at 777-2808 so any issues can be resolved, and the proposal can be resubmitted in a timely manner.
NSF FastLane Electronic Proposals
If you are submitting a grant proposal using the NSF FastLane system, after the UND Research Development and Compliance Office has signed your proposal they will submit the proposal electronically as well (providing that the Principal Investigator has "allowed SRO Access" to his/her proposal). After successful submission of your proposal, they will call the contact name on your UNDSMHS Proposal Routing Form, so that the hard copy of your fully signed and submitted proposal can be picked up for your records.
Once your proposal has been submitted by the SRO, the Principal Investigator will be sent an e-mail from NSF with the official NSF proposal number. They can then use the NSF FastLane website at https://www.fastlane.nsf.gov/fastlane.jsp to check the status of that proposal. Once the proposal is submitted, it will no longer appear on the “Proposal Actions” screen when you log into Proposal Preparation to prepare a proposal. The submitted proposal will show up in the list of “Submitted Proposals”.
If you have any questions on the progress of your proposal, please contact Corey Graves either by phone at 777-2808, or by e-mail at cgraves@medicine.nodak.edu.
