Edward Sauter
UNDSMHS Associate Dean for Research

Edward R. Sauter, MD, PhD, Associate Dean for Research at the SMHS, and an Associate Professor of Surgery at the School of Medicine & Health Sciences, directs the Breast Cancer Prevention and Early Detection Laboratory at UND with the goal of developing noninvasive and minimally invasive tools to aid in preventing and detecting breast cancer. This is done by identifying markers, or indicators, of breast cancer risk.
