Kimberly T. Krohn, MD, MPH, FAAFP Program Director

Dr. Krohn has been with the Center for Family Medicine since 1995--first as a medical student, then resident, and finally as a faculty member. She has been the recipient of many awards including AOA student inductee, Outstanding Student of the UND School of Medicine Northwest Campus, the William Buckingham Outstanding Resident Award by the North Dakota Academy of Family Physicians, and Faculty of the Year Award from the Minot family medicine residents. Her professional interests are varied, and include the quality improvement of medical education and of clinical care, care of children, maternity care, care of the elderly, primary care research, and procedures. Dr. Krohn has a Bachelors Degree in Dietetics from Michigan State University, a Masters in Public Health Degree in Health Systems Administration from University of Minnesota, and her MD from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences. She is married and has three children.



Wade R. Talley, M.D., FAAFP Associate Director

Dr. Talley was raised in Glenburn, North Dakota. He attended and graduated from medical school at the University of North Dakota. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology degree in 1991 and his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1995. He completed residency training at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska in 1998. He is board certified in family practice. He was active duty in the U.S. Air Force from 1995-2001. His professional interests include procedures like endoscopy, EGD, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, nasolaryngoscopy as well as all other areas of medicine. Dr. Talley is married and has five children. Personal interests include church, family, reading, woodworking, and basketball.



Julie Rickert, PsyD Associate Director

Dr. Rickert is a 1991 graduate of Cornell University and earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from Baylor Univeristy in 1995. She completed her internship training at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. She worked as a general psychologist for seven years before joining the faculty at the Center for Family Medicine in Minot, ND. Her professional interests include mental health in OB/GYN, fostering health behavior change, and primary care of psychiatric disorders. Dr. Rickert is married with three children. Personal interests include gardening, reading, and travel.



Stephen C. Stripe, M.D., FAAFP Associate Director

Dr. Stripe grew up in Omaha, Nebraska and graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1979 with his MD. He was an intern at the University of Oklahoma Tulsa Medical College and completed his Family Practice Residency in 1982 at UNMC. He became a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice in 1987. Dr. Stripe spent 20 years in rural private practice during which he edited Rural Rescues and Emergency Care (1993). Other publications include "A Rural-Urban Comparison of Prehospital Service" Nebraska Journal of the American Board of Family Practice, Sept.-Oct. 1991, Vol. 4, 313-318. Dr. Stripe's medical interests include rural health care and rural emergency medicine. His personal interests include aviation, history, and hunting. He is married with two children and one grandson.



Paul D. Olson, MD

Dr. Olson completed his undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of North Dakota in 1983. He graduated from the University of Iowa, College of Medicine in 1987 and completed his residency at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences Family Medicine Residency Program in Bismarck, North Dakota. In addition to his work at the Center For Family Medicine Dr. Olson practices emergency medicine at Trinity Medical Center. Dr. Olson has received numerous awards from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences for his excellence in teaching medical students and residents.



Neena E. Thomas-Eapen, M.D., FAAFP Associate Director

Dr. Thomas graduated from Medical College, Trivandrum in the state of Kerala, India.  She is a graduate of our residency program where she won the "Resident of the Year" award from the community faculty.  She worked as a family physician for Trinity Hospital in Minot for four years.  During those years she was a voluntary faculty as well as resident advocate of the program.  She enjoys the variety of family medicine as well as procedures.  Her special interest is Integrative Medicine.  She is a Senior Graduate Fellow of the Program in Integrative Medicine after completing the Residential Fellowship in Integrative Medicine, founded by Dr. Andrew Weil, at the University of Arizona in Tucson.  Her interests include mind-body medicine, healthy living, nutrition, healthy cooking, botanicals, alternative and complementary therapies.
