Student would be located within the Williston community for the majority of his/her senior year. Electives would be offered in surgery, urology, EENT, ophthalmology, internal medicine, family medicine, pediatrics, anesthesiology, radiology, pathology, orthopedics, obstetrics, etc. At least one outside rotation would be allowed, other time away can be negotiated.
Mercy Hospital is committed to providing a supportive environment to medical students wishing to receive a rotation in Williston. They anticipate paying for all lodging and meals for two students on a prorated basis. Married students with or without children will receive housing and food allotment based on size of family. All reasonable costs associated with the use of library and research materials will be covered by Mercy Hospital.
The medical student would be involved in virtually every component of the medical staff as an organization. If the medical student is married, the spouse would also be included in all social functions as appropriate.
