Objectives of the Elective:

1. Evaluation of urologic patients.
2. To become familiar with routine urologic procedures.
3. To understand routine laboratory and radiologic evaluation of the urologic patient.

Instructional Activities:

1. Outpatient clinic patient interaction.
2. Surgically assist in urologic procedures.
3. Didactic discussions of urologic topics biweekly.
4. Radiologic conference weekly.

Standards of Performance (Outcomes) Indicating Attainment of Objectives:

1. Oral presentation of urologic patient.
2. Depth of knowledge of urologic disease process.
3. Formulation of treatment plans.

Criteria for Grading:

1. Growth of knowledge base.
2. Patient interaction.
3. Oral questioning at the end of elective.
4. Enthusiasm and dependability.
