Positions: One for each faculty physician listed, student may
choose who he wishes.
Objectives of the Elective:

History and physical on vascular patients admitted for surgery.
-
Review treatment plans.
-
Manage preoperative and postoperative care.

Perform surgical procedures with preceptor.
Instructional Activities:
-
Nongraded open-book examination.
-
Daily one-on-one rounds of all patients with oral question interaction.

Didactic sessions as indicated.
-
Reading assignments if indicated.
Standards of Performance (Outcomes) Indicating Attainment of Objectives:

Impression of manual skills.
-
Assessment of appropriate treatment skills and record maintenance.

Overall impression of interest and knowledge.
Criteria for Grading:
Pass/fail/honors based on the total assessment of the person's performance.
