Objectives of the Elective:

  1. Learn normal structure and function of skin.
  2. Recognize common dermatoses and procedures used to diagnose.
  3. Develop comfortable use of nomenclature and be able to describe skin lesions.

Standards of Performance (Outcomes) Indicating Attainment of Objectives:

  1. Attendance at clinics
  2. Completion of reading assignments
  3. Present patients, formulate a differential treatment plan

  3. Ability of student to objectively integrate clinical, basic science, and primary medicine knowledge and/or skills
