J. Donald Opgrande, MD
Professor and Chairman, Division of Orthopaedic Surgery
J. Donald Opgrande is Professor and Chairman Division of Orthopaedic Surgery in the Department of Surgery at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He received his MD from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine in Grand Forks, North Dakota and the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City, Kansas, and completed his orthopaedic residency training at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Opgrande completed a Fellowship in Hand Surgery at Mayo Clinic.
Dr. Opgrande was Associate Professor of Surgery in 1980 and was promoted to full professorship in 1990. Dr. Opgrande is also the Chairman Division of Orthopaedic Surgery for the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences Department of Surgery for the third and fourth year medical students. Dr. Opgrande is board certified in orthopaedics and hand surgery.
