Mark O. Jensen, MD, FACS

Professor of Surgery

Mark O. Jensen is a Professor of Surgery in the Department of Surgery at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He received his BA Magna Cum Laude from Augustana College, Sioux Falls, SD, and his MD from the University of Minnesota School of Medicine, Minneapolis, MN and completed his general surgery residency at Hennepin County Medical Center, Minneapolis, MN.

Dr. Jensen joined the faculty of the University of North Dakota in 1987 as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery and became a full Professor of Surgery, July 1, 2000. Dr. Jensen is Chief of Surgical Services at the VA Medical Center in Fargo, ND and is a former Flight Surgeon in the Army/Air Force. He is Board Certified in General Surgery with special interests in minimally invasive surgery and surgical anatomy.
