First, the disclaimer... ========================================================================== >From dlcampbe@facstaff.wisc.edu Mon Apr 24 08:06:43 1995 To: Multiple recipients of list ATHTRN-L Subject: Re: State regulatory laws information response The Governmental Affairs Committee and the Office of Governmental Relations at NATA headquarters have copies of the laws for each state that regulates athletic training or athletic trainers. However, the best option is to contact the regulatory board that houses the law and request a copy of the act, requirements for regulation and the application form. Each individual state sets its own requirements for credentialing. I would caution that information listed on this bulletin board be very accurate and items should be verified with the regulatory agency before posting. Members of the Governmental Affairs Committee and staff employees of the Governmental Relations Office can serve as resources for the NATA membership. It is important that athletic trainers contemplating a move into a regulated state apply for the state's credential and know the law. Thank you! [I couldn't have agreed more. MT] ============================================================================ Dear Athletic Trainers Who Contributed, Thank you very much. I hope this helps others. Makoto =========================================================================== Everyone, Please remember that this document is a reference and not official. The list is organized as follows: Line #1: State Line #2: Governing board Line #3: Address Line #5: City, state, ZIP Line #6: Phone Line #7: Fax Line #8: Contact person Line #9: Type of legislative action Line #10+ are for description of state licensure The data is brought to you by a very informally created consortium of internet-capable, fast-responding, generous certified athletic trainers across the great country of the United States of America. The information was compiled and posted by Makoto Tsuchiya. What is included in the following section is, to the best of the contributor's knowledge, accurate. However, we are not responsible for the decision of the each state if the application was incomplete or improper.
