The
Application Process
How
should I apply?
It is our aim to provide a fair, balanced review
of applications with the least amount of delay.
In order to do this, applications must be submitted
online through the UND Graduate School Admissions
Page:
http://www.graduateschool.und.edu/html/landingpage-connect.html
All
application forms are available on the above web
site and all supporting documentation must be submitted
electronically using the above web site.
When should I submit my application?
The deadline for applications is February
1. Applications received after that date will be
considered but will have a lower priority for financial
assistance.
We
strongly suggest that the GRE (and if necessary
the TOEFL, see below) is taken prior to the end
of the previous fall semester. Given the volume
of applications and time of processing, the reporting
of scores and inclusion into admission files after
that period can be delayed. The UND Institutional
Code for the GRE is 6878. Our Departmental Code
for the GRE is 0216.
TOEFL
Information:
A
TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score
is required of ALL applicants whose native language
is not English. This is the only evidence of competence
in English that is acceptable to UND and must be
submitted before any application is considered.
Test score requirements will not be waived or delayed.
TOEFL scores older than two years are not valid.
The UND Institutional Code for the TOEFL is 6878.
A minimum score of 550 (paper-based) or 213 (computer-based)

Reading, and 17/30 writing with at least a 76/120

Non-native speakers of English who have received
a bachelor's degree or higher in the United States
or English-speaking Canada are not required to take
the TOEFL. TOEFL applications may be obtained from:
