Monitor, report, and develop strategies to address health disparities, genetic discrimination, medical record confidentiality and other ethical, legal and social issues related to genetics

Increase awareness of ethical, legal and social issues (ELSI) involved in genetic services by educating health care professionals, the public, and legislative representatives

Ensure diverse input into public policy decisions about genetics

Monitor new genetic technologies and report advances in screening/testing throughout the life cycle to the Genetic Advisory Committee
