| What can you do to help reduce the risk of SIDS? |

- Place baby on his or her back to sleep
- Avoid sleeping with your baby and have baby sleep in their crib to prevent suffocation.
- Dress baby in a diaper, shirt and sleeper; no need for a hat or extra clothing when sleeping.
- Do not smoke around your baby.
- Keep room temperature between 65 and 70 degrees F.
- Keep regular doctor visits for your baby.
- Do not place your baby on a waterbed, sofa, soft mattress, car seat, infant swing or other soft surfaces to sleep.
