ROME REQUIREMENTS |
 |
- PDA: Enter data as instructed by Dr. Schauer.
- Preceptor Evaluations: ROME preceptor evaluation will not be calculated into the final grade for our clerkship. Pediatric preceptor evaluations will be used for calculating your final grade.
- History and Physicals: Two will be required during each site visit. These should be formal typewritten H&P's - one case to be presented orally at time of site visit and the other one to be handed in. H&P's will also be required during your 4-week specialty rotation.
- Oral Exam: This exam will be conducted at the conclusion of the 4-week Pediatric rotation (pre or post ROME ) by the appropriate campus faculty member. If you are scheduled for the Pediatrics rotation first and ROME second and you fail your oral exam on the main campus it will be readministerd at the site visit.
- NBME Shelf Exam: This exam will be scheduled to be taken at the end of your 4-week Pediatrics rotation. Those students who are doing ROME first, followed by the specialty rotations, will take their exam at the conclusion of their 4-week rotation on Pediatrics. Those students who are scheduled for specialty rotations first, followed by ROME , and who fail the NBME shelf exam will be allowed to repeat this test prior to the end of the third year.
- Site Visits: A site visit will be conducted by either Dr. George Johnson or Dr. Stephen Tinguely. You will receive notification of the site visit date as the time approaches.
- CLIPP Cases are required learning for all third year students and are to be completed prior to submission of your final clerkship grade.. The website is www.clippcases.org .
