Welcome to the homepage of the Department of Occupational Therapy transitional Master’s of Occupational Therapy (t-MOT) program. This program offers a completely online master’s of occupational therapy (MOT) degree opportunity for occupational therapists already practicing in the profession. The t-MOT is a master’s of occupational therapy (MOT) degree (as opposed to an advanced master’s degree in occupational therapy).

This program is designed for practicing occupational therapists nation-wide with a baccalaureate degree in OT meeting the UND t-MOT admission criteria. The objective of the t-MOT is to augment previously acquired knowledge in a baccalaureate OT degree program. The length of the program is 2 years with students taking 3-6 credits each semester. After completion of all required courses the students will graduate with a Master’s of Occupational Therapy (MOT) Degree from UND, School of Medicine and Health Sciences.

The UND t-MOT program provides an opportunity for online distance education to help the practicing clinician remain competitive for long-term employment in a changing industry. Through innovative curriculum and a supportive environment, UND t-MOT online distance education provides opportunities to:

  • Network with clinicians across the U.S. through an interactive learning community
  • Promote program development for diverse populations
  • Support scholarly activity to create innovative solutions for clinical concerns
  • Examine principles which can enhance client and family education
  • Access academic and technical support in a supportive distance environment
  • Support affordable and convenient education
