Applicants
are encouraged to apply as early as possible to
assure full consideration.
Graduate
students are selected for admission based on their
promise for high quality independent research.
Applicants
must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited
institution and have a good academic record in the
sciences.
A
minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
is essential.
The
Graduate Record Examination and three letters of
recommendation are required.
Personal and/or conference telephone interviews
are part of the admissions process.
To
be considered for admission to a graduate program
at The University of North Dakota, an applicant
must initiate an application with the Graduate School.
Specified English language proficiency and financial
status are required for foreign students.
Applications
for graduate study in the department are accepted
throughout the year and are considered for the appointments
and awards that are available at the time the applications
are received. Generally, a final decision on financial
assistance is made on or about April 15.
