Windows 98/95/ME Dial-Up Setup for UND - GF,Fargo & Bismarck

Make sure you have the Dial-Up Adapter installed on your computer.

  1. Double click or open "MyComputer" icon.
  2. If you have a Dial Up Networking folder or link (Windows ME), skip ahead to "Setup your Dial-Up Adapter".
  3. Click on your Start button, then Settings, then Add/Remove programs.
  4. Click on the Windows Setup tab.
  5. Highlight Communications and click on the Details button.
  6. Check Dial-Up Networking and leave the any other features checked or they will be uninstalled.
  7. Click on OK. You will be prompted to insert your windows 95/98 installation disk. (CD or 3.5").
  1. Verify TCP/IP Protocol exists.
  1. Click on the Start Button.
  2. Choose Settings.
  3. Choose Control Panel.
  4. Choose Network. (If TCP/IP exist Click on OK and go on to Setup your Dial-Up adaptor)
  5. Click on Add.
  6. Choose Protocol.
  7. Click on Microsoft.
  8. Choose TCP/IP.
  9. Click on OK. Click OK again. You will be prompted to insert your Windows 95/98 installation disk (CD or 3.5").
  10. Restart your computer.

Verify TCP/IP Exists.

1. Click on the Start button.
2. Choose Settings.
3. Choose Control Panel.
4. Choose Network. (If TCP/IP exists click on ok and go on to Setup Your Dial-Up Adapter).
5. Click on Add.
6. Choose Protocol.
7. Click on Microsoft.
8. Choose TCP/IP.

Click on OK. Click ok again. You will be prompted to insert your Windows 95/98 installation disk (CD or 3.5").
10. Restart your computer.

Setup your Dial-Up Adapter
