Users may associate the URL of a personal
homepage with their medicine.nodak.edu e-mail
account, to be listed on the Index
of Personal Homepages, or to be accessed
with the shortcut:
http://medicine.nodak.edu/~userid
To set this up, first you'll need to log into
the Med School's web-based e-mail system at: http://medicine.nodak.edu using
your medicine.nodak.edu e-mail
userid and password.

Once in, click on Options in
the top menubar

In the Options page, click on the link to Personal
Homepage

Select that, and in the form that appears,
enter the real URL of your homepage.
It can be anywhere on the web (med school server, geocities,
etc).
Click the Test URL button to
make sure you typed in a correct URL. Click Save
Options button and your name will appear
on the Index
of Personal Homepages , and you'll be able
to jump to the URL with an alias like (using
my userid as an example):
http://medicine.nodak.edu/~barryp
To un-register a URL, just go back to the
screen shown above, blank out the field, and
save the options again. |
