In the examples below, you'll obviously want to replace the "barryp" with your own medicine.nodak.edu userid.

Here are the main Outlook e-mail settings.

The More Settings ... button takes you to another dialog box with some other important bits. In the Outgoing Server tab, you need to let Outlook know to authenticate with our server.

In the Advanced tab, enable SSL encryption for both incoming and outgoing, and be sure to change the SMTP port from the default of 25 to 465.

If you're doing POP instead of IMAP, the Server Port Number will be 995 instead of 993 as the picture below shows.
