The minimum Windows version that supports
the recommended settings seems to be 5.1. If
you have an older Eudora, you'll need to either
upgrade to a more recent version, or to a better
e-mail program.
Eudora has a very limited list of SSL certificates
it trusts, and needs to have another entry
added. So before configuring
Eudora to use the settings shown below, you'll
need to copy this file: usercerts.p7b,
into the folder on your computer where a file
named eudora.ini resides. You
may have to search your harddisk to determine
where this should go.
In the examples below, you'll obviously want
to replace the "barryp" with your
own medicine.nodak.edu userid.
From the main Eudora menu, select Tools/Options
...
In the Options dialog box that
pops up, select the Sending Mail category,
and alter the settings to be similar to what's
shown below.

There's also a Checking Mail category
that needs some adjustments.

Click OK when finished, and test
by sending yourself a message, and making sure
it comes back to your inbox. |
