Assistance
The
Anatomy and Cell Biology Department has eight half-time
graduate teaching assistantships (GTA) available to
graduate students. One or more graduate research assistantships
(GRA) also may be available through individual faculty
members. Most assistantships are half-time positions
that require approximately fifteen hours of work per
week and require students to carry a minimum of
six and no more than ten credits of graduate work
each semester. Tuition waivers will be awarded
independently of stipends.

Summer
stipends are provided by the department on a seniority
basis. Recipients must commit to 12 weeks of full-time
study.
Other Financial Aid Possibilities
Graduate
School Summer Doctoral Fellowships of $5,000 plus
a waiver of tuition for the summer are available to
doctoral students who plan to work on their dissertations/research
full time during the summer. Fellowship submissions
are due early in the spring semester, and each submission
will be evaluated on the basis of an application and
recommendations from the advisor and the chairperson.
