ABOUT BIMD

The BIMD (Biomedical) program at UND School of Medicine and Health Sciences is comprised of the following four departments:

  • Anatomy & Cell Biology
  • Biochemistry & Molecular Biology
  • Microbiology & Immunology
  • Pharmacology, Physiology & Therapeutics

The four departments are comprised of faculty with research interests ranging from enzyme structure and kinetics to molecular interactions to cellular structure and organization to animal models for human diseases.

Each department maintains its own graduate program with requirements and research opportunities which can be explored through each department's own home page. In addition, interdepartmental educational and research activities are also available through the BIMD courses and research retreats.
